Our mission trips are often life-changing experiences for both our volunteers and the communities we help.

What our volunteers do:

  • Train health professionals to perform key medical procedures in numerous medical fields

  • Help clean, sort, do inventory, and organize medical supplies.

  • Build and equip the hospitals in areas the facilities may be lacking.

  • Coordinate the delivery of thousands of pounds of donated medical equipment and supplies, everything from bed sheets to anesthesia machines

 
 

 
 

Prepare for your mission:

Documents

To join the mission, you will typically need:

  • A valid passport with at least 6 months’ validity, plus a copy of your passport.

  • A copy of your student ID, or proof of participation in a course, if you are a student.

  • Copy of proof of :

    • rabies vaccination or titre. [Remember that if you have had your last vaccination/titre more than two years ago as of today, then we require a titre or booster.]

    • Up-to-date tetanus vaccinations.

  • Copy of travel insurance that includes cover for veterinary work, working with animals, manual work abroad and for any activities you may undertake (e.g. trips) while in your country.

Visa - Please apply for a tourist visa and state the purpose of the visit as tourism.

You can get your visa in advance or on arrival. If you plan to get one on arrival, you will need to pay for it in cash USD. Remember that advanced visas are valid from the date of issue, not the date of entry to the country.

Accommodations

Resolute Health will provide accommodations for volunteers. Your trip leader will contact you with information about where you are staying.

 
 

Participation Fees

Resolute Health is committed to keep participation fees as low as possible in order to ensure that as many people as possible may go on the trip.

The participation fee is $2,000, with the understanding that volunteers will still be allowed to participate if they do not raise the full amount. Volunteers however should fundraise at least $500 before departure.

The participation fee covers your international airfare, orientation expenses, in-country transportation, in-country room and board, all scheduled program expenses. The participation fee does not include immunizations, visa fees and travel insurance, and personal recreation activities and items.
